Hope

On Monday, I wrote on my blog about how things can change “In an Instant.” We do not know what each day may hold but we do know who holds our future and that is the Lord Jesus.  Keeping with the message that our Lord holds our future, I want to share with you today an entry from my devotional, Sitting at His Feet. This devotional was written out of entries from my personal journal as I encountered various circumstances. The entries are the comfort that Lord gave me during these times, and I hope that this gives you comfort, too!

When you wait upon me you will find hope. You will soar like an eagle. Place your plans and your hope in me, and you will find the assurance you are looking for—not self-assurance but God assurance. You will find that waiting on me to move in your life has awesome benefits. Your faith will increase as you wait on me and your hope, rightfully placed on me, will produce fruit in your life. Hope deferred can make your heart sick. If you will trust me and wait on my perfect timing, you will find your desires realized. I see your frustration as you wait on my promises and for things to change in your life. But I am growing trust and faith in you so that when your hope is realized you will be able to sustain the growth. I am growing deep roots of hope in your heart and the challenge you face in waiting will produce a much larger harvest in your life than shallow roots.
