Healing the Sick

He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Psalm 107:20

In Matthew 8 and 9, we read that Jesus healed a man with leprosy, cured a centurion’s servant, healed Peter’s mother-in-law, cast out demons, and healed a paralytic. As we read through these accounts, Jesus demonstrates and proclaims the kingdom of God. Today we still see evidence of the kingdom, yet we often discount the “miraculous” that happens around us. I have started praying daily that the Lord will open my spiritual eyes to see His kingdom power and enable me to demonstrate and proclaim His kingdom.

Jeremiah 17:5-14 tells us that we must have confidence in the Lord in order to be healed. Do you have blocks that hinder your spiritual or physical healing?

What are they? Ask the Lord to remove obstacles that hinder your confidence in His healing power.

Heavenly Father,

I confess that when I pray “Your kingdom come, Your will be done,” too often I do not believe Your kingdom will really break through. Increase my faith as I pray that Your kingdom comes to earth, knowing that Your awesome power is at work.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
