Desires of Your Heart

In my Monday “Making Space for God” blog, I talked about Purpose and Direction. So many women share with me that the question they are most often asking is “What is my destiny?” The post below is an entry from my devotional, Sitting at His Feet. As you may know, this devotional is a compilation of journal entries from my personal quiet times with the Lord. These writings come out of my wrestling through issues with Him in the Word and in prayer and the comfort He has given me in the process.

This entry is on Destiny. I hope it brings you comfort as you seek God and his purpose, direction and destiny for your life.

If you delight in me I will give you the desires of your heart. As you find your joy in me alone you will find that your desires will change. You will begin to want what I want, see what I see, hear what I hear. Your desires will be transformed by my desires and they will be fulfilled. My child, it is my purposes for your life that are the best for you. It may seem that your gifts are not being used for my glory. You may feel like you have no purpose. Do not underestimate the purpose of seeking me. In the process, you will begin to walk in your destiny. I will show you greater things than you could imagine and will take you to heights you never anticipated.
