This morning as we approach Thanksgiving day, I am reminded how blessed we are to live in this country- the home of the free and the brave; the home where we can worship freely- one nation under God. We must remember that God still sits on the throne of this world and that His purposes will be fulfilled.
Then take a moment and watch this video titled “Give Thanks”. It is an old song that has blessed me over the years. Some of the lyrics:
Give thanks with an open heart
Give thanks to the holy one
Give thanks because He has given Jesus Christ His son
When I first viewed this video, a pop up add for Spanx appeared showing women getting into their Spanx and the look of joy on their faces when their figure went down one size. For just a brief moment I contemplated re-titling this blog to “Give Thanks for Spanx ” and then decided the men reading this would not find that so funny. But we women get it right!
Anyway.. back to being thankful for God’s goodness towards us. Watch this video and take a moment to ponder the blessings of this life. We often see the cup half full and the world sometimes negatively frames our thinking.
But God….
wants us to remember that He is always near; always available 24/7. He is a more than God!
