Healing the Sick

He sent forth his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.

Psalm 107:20

In Matthew 8 and 9, we read that Jesus healed a man with leprosy, cured a centurion’s servant, healed Peter’s mother-in-law, cast out demons, and healed a paralytic. As we read through these accounts, Jesus demonstrates and proclaims the kingdom of God. Today we still see evidence of the kingdom, yet we often discount the “miraculous” that happens around us. Heavenly Father,

I confess that when I pray “Your kingdom come, Your will be done,” too often I do not believe Your kingdom will really break through. Increase my faith as I pray that Your kingdom comes to earth, knowing that Your awesome power is at work.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
