Heavenly Father,

Why is it that I like to be in control of my own life? In truth, some days I am pretty good at it but other days I feel as though I am out of control. Forgive me for my stubbornness of heart and help me to know that letting go gives You opportunity to work in my life. Help me to begin each day by surrendering to You. After all, You are much better at taking care of me than I am.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
